Irene Poirier Budge
August 3, 1927 — March 27, 2018
Guilderland - Irene (Poirier) Budge, 90, of Guilderland, was called home to the Lord on March 26, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born in Schenectady on August 3, 1927, the daughter of Bertha (Thibodeau) and Robert L. Poirier, Sr. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School (Class of June 1945) and was employed by the General Electric Company for 42 years before retiring in 1987.
Irene is survived by a brother, James L. Poirier, Sr. (Lorraine), of Schenectady, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased in 2013 by her loving husband of 53 years, Howard W. Budge, as well as her brother, Robert L. Poirier, Jr. (Josephine).
A Calling Hour on Thursday, April 5, 2018 will precede the 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Luke's Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304 or Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St Schenectady NY 12308.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to Christine Volans for the tender loving care she has provided over the last year.
