ALBANY- Irene G. Fleming, 96, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Evergreen Commons after a brief illness.
She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late William and Alda Bellows. Irene had worked for Freihofer Bakery in Albany for twenty eight years. She had been active with the Louise Corning Seniors. Irene was predeceased by her husbands Milton Follett and Joseph Fleming..
She is the beloved mother of Robert M. Follett and the late Marion Hanlon. She is the cherished grandmother of Irene Miller and Darlene Maselli and the step mother of Jennie Staples. Irene is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Irene's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Evergreen Commons, 1 Greenbush for their kind and compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
