ALBANY – Irene H. Bonacker, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2013 at her daughter's home in Schenectady. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Irene was born on October 15, 1919 in Depew, NY and was the daughter of the late Leon and Sophie (Syperski) Lysiak. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Bonacker and sister of the late Emily Lynch and Leon and John Lysiak.
Irene lived most of her life in Albany until retiring to Homosassa, Florida with her husband and then spent her summers in Schenectady. She was a wonderful mother and terrific grandmother and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.
Irene is survived by her loving children, Patricia (the late Ronald) Doedema of Schenectady and Port Richey, Fl., Joan (Louis) Liuzzi of Homosassa, Fl. and Sacandaga Lake, and Joseph (Joanne) Bonacker of Schenectady, Port Richey, Fl., and Cossayuna Lake; her brother, Edward (the late Jean) Lysiak; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Irene's wishes, there will be no services.
