Irene Macaulay

Westmere- Irene R. Macaulay, 75, of Westmere, passed away on Thursday August 2, 2007 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peters Hospital. She was born in Albany and attended Altamont High School.
Irene is the devoted and loving daughter of Helen Boyd Willey of Westmere and the late Charles Willey. She was a clerk with New York State Tax & Finance for fifteen years, retiring in 1997. Irene enjoyed skiing, gardening, arts & crafts and traveling. She was a volunteer at the Albany Airport and the Guilderland Historical Society.
She is the beloved mother of Richard Rosenberry, Douglas (Elise) Rosenberry, Melanie Hiris and Lori Hiris (Ninia Baehr). She is the sister of Charles R. Willey and the late James Willey. She is the beloved niece of Dorothy Carpenter. Irene is the cherished grandmother of Drew, Devon, Eliza and Tessa Rosenberry.
Memorial services will be celebrated on Sunday at 5:00pm at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Irene R. Macaulay.
