Irene Velonis, 68, passed away January 8, 2017 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Vasilios Pontos and Paraskeve Pontou.
Irene is survived by her husband James Velonis, her daughter Bessy Velonis and her son John Velonis.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00am. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
