Iris A. Metzger

COLONIE – Iris A. Metzger, 87, of Colonie, passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at the Albany County Nursing Home.
She was born in Niskayuna and was the daughter of the late George and Laura Palmer. Iris had worked as a data entry operator with New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for several years, retiring in 1983. She was predeceased in 1986 by her husband Harold C. Metzger and by her brother Kenneth Palmer.
Iris is the beloved mother of Joan (Jim) Molitor of Colonie and Wayne (Patty) Metzger of Clifton Park. She is the grandmother of Justin and Kelsi Metzger.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 122204 in memory of Iris A. Metzger.
