Irving J. Brownheim, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at his home. He was born in Albany, to the late Mack and Lucy Brownheim. Irving was employed with the Accounting Department at NY Telephone of Albany for over 45 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, carving, golfing, skiing and eating out at his favorite restaurant Reel Seafood. Irving loved spending time with his wife of over 61 years Shirley who predeceased him in November of 2011.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Irving was predeceased by his step-mother, Mary Brownheim; his sister, Lucy Filkins and his brother Bradford Brownheim.
Irving is survived by his nieces Ruth Ann Daly, Suzanne (Greg) Rucinski and Karen Culligan, his sister-in-law Carol Talarico; his dear friends Fay (Eileen) Richardson and Tom (Judy) DeLeonardis and several great nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. Internment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
