Albany~ Mr. Isaac Taylor also known as Gaylord to family and friends, eldest child of the late Isaac Taylor and Shirley Ann Taylor departed this life on September 25, 2020 at the age of 61 in Albany, NY.
Isaac was born on June 9, 1959 in Hackensack, NJ. While raised in South Hackensack, Isaac attended the Memorial School as a student and later went to Bergen County Technical and Vocational School. Soon after, he went on to serve his country as a PFC in the United States Armed Forces. Isaac was later employed with the Hackensack Department of Public Works before relocating to Albany, NY in 2000.
In 1998, Isaac met the love of his life, Constance McClenton whom he called "Boo". To family and friends, Isaac was described as a man who was fun, loving, and dependable. He would give you the shirt off of his back, as well as the shoes off of his feet. Isaac loved collecting sports cards, building model cars, and The San Francisco 49ers. Isaac was a very special uncle to his nieces and nephews. You would often find him laughing and joking with them every week. He was always there for them as a father figure, friend, and very supportive uncle. Isaac was a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life Constance McClenton, a host of nieces and nephews with whom he held a special relationship, Uncle Rev. Robert Taylor Sr, sisters Robin Champion of Maryland and Cheryl Grant of New Jersey, and a host of loved ones and friends.
Isaac is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Cortella Smith, paternal grandparents Ella Taylor and Isaac Taylor Sr, parents Isaac Taylor Jr and Shirley Taylor, and sister Debra Taylor-Wells.
Relatives and friends may call 10-11 am on Monday, October 5th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, where a funeral service will commence at 11 o'clock in the funeral home. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
Interment with military honors will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon - Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. The committal time is scheduled for 2 pm.
