Colonie - Isabelle V. (Brienza) Majkut, 85, passed away Thursday July 24, 2008.
Isabelle was born June 5, 1923 in Oneonta, NY the daughter of the late Lena and Benjamin VanHousen. She was employed by the NY Telephone Co. and American Glass of Albany, NY. Isabelle also owned and operated Reliable Answering Service of Colonie for twenty years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her brother Bennett and her sister Hilda.
She is survived by her beloved son Robert Joseph Brienza, her dear grandchildren; Michael (Laurie) Brienza and Sally Ann Carroll, cherished great-grandchildren; Michael Bryan and Katrina Brienza, Joey and Jeremy Carroll. She is also survived by her brother Norman, her sisters; Leona and Mildred and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 8:30 am Monday from New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church, Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am.
