Ismay Agatha Luke (Nee Seaforth)

ALBANY – Ismay Agatha Luke (nee Seaforth), native of Guyana South America, died on August 24, 2006 at her residence. Ismay was the wife of the late Samuel Luke, Sr. She is the mother of Duncan Luke, Rev. Gordon Luke, Franklin Luke, Waveney Pollydore, Grace Joy Luke-Fraser, Samuel Luke, Jr., Joan Archer and Eze Luke. She is the step-mother of Violet Smith Sam, Audrey Luke and others. She is the grandmother of Donna Warde, Kwesi, Kwami, Ayanna, Ishaka, Ishelly, Nika, Joanne, Keva, Christopher, Paul, Keisha, Troy, Olatta, Linden, Phillip, Stokley, Coretta, Corletta, Aslin, Sale, Marvin and Cherisee Luke, Collette Richman, Andrea Griffith, Devonne, Dionne and Julian Archer, Denise, Odessa and Odette Fraser, Shevonne Bowes, Drs. Shevin and Clemlyn-Ann Pollydore and others; great-grandmother of Neshavia Warde, Sherlese Luke, Mark and Luke Pollydore, Abigale Fraser and others; sister of Elaine Ferguson, Charlotte Lee and the late Rachael Gardner and Phillip Seaforth; sister-in-law of Hector Lee and others; mother-in-law of Dolly Davis Luke, Waveney Luke, Dennis Archer, Gwennie Luke and Clemsford Pollydore; grandmother-in-law of Earl Warde, Dolores Luke, Brian Bowes and others; aunt of Jean Benjamin, Merlene Nestor, Brenda Tyrell, Faye Chapman, Harry and Tony Lee and others; cousin of Carmen Homer, Ovid and Lloyd Hercules, Megan Johnson, Sylvia Watson and Evelyn Paris.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at the Metropolitan N T Mission Baptist Church, 105 2nd Street, Albany. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (RT. 155-south of Central Ave). Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Ismay Luke.
