J. Clifton Dudley, Jr.

GLENVILLE- J. Clifton Dudley Jr., 80, of Glenville, passed away on Thursday evening at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Diamond Point, NY and was the son of the late J. Clifton and Anna Gates Dudley Sr.
He was proud of his Lake George region heritage and had worked as a ranger at Hearthstone State Park. Mr. Dudley was a claims examiner with New York State Dept. of Labor, retiring a number of years ago. He was a tennis coach and a proud ski instructor for his beloved grandchildren. Cliff enjoyed golf, tennis, camping, and skiing. He was a longtime volunteer with the Verdoy Fire Dept. He was predeceased in 2005 by his beloved wife, Janet M. Dudley.
He is the devoted father of Cliff (Patricia) Dudley III., William Dudley and Donald Dudley. He is the cherished grandfather of Jeremy, Julie, Brandon, Cheryl, Will, Nicole, Brittany, Donny Jr., Lindsey, Kaila and Rebecca.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Expressions of sympathy may be made to NewcomerFamily.com
