J. Edward Horn

Colonie- J. Edward Horn, 85, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Minnie Horn and brother of the late Evelyn Gorman. Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during WWII. He worked as a Book Binder for Williams Press in Menands for 35 years and then went on to Hamilton Printing in East Greenbush until his retirement.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Florence (Haagner) Horn, his sons; Edward Leonard Horn, Sr. (Joanne) of Clifton Park, and Robert Norton Horn (Linda) of Clifton Park, his daughter Virginia Louise Gabrielle (Gary) of Oswego. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Edward Leonard, Jr. (Crystal), Timothy, Lisa, Robert Norton, Jr. (Victoria), Charles, Curtis and Holly Benedetto and his great-granddaughter Maria.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of J.
