Jacob Hans Bailey

COLONIE – Jacob Hans Bailey, 25, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at his home in North Palm Beach, FL.
Jake was born on June 30, 1980 in Kingston, NY to Amy Millonig of Colonie and Stephen T. Bailey of Kingston. He graduated from Colonie High School in 1998 and attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. He was the captain of the high school football team, then continued to play football at college for two years, where he was a brother of Gamma Omega Delta fraternity. He was co-owner of Weatherguard Roofing in West Palm Beach, FL for the past two years.
Jake truly enjoyed life and all it had to offer. He enjoyed sports, the outdoors, playing cards and traveling. Most of all "Big Jake" loved surrounding himself with his friends and family.
Jake touched our hearts and lives in so many ways. When we think of our Jake, we see that smile, that twinkle in his eyes. We will miss his kind and gentle ways, his compassion and understanding, and his laughter and his love.
In addition to his mother and father, Jake is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Johnson and her son, Quinn; his stepmother, Sherry; his maternal grandparents, Carolyn Millonig, and Henry and Betty Millonig, his paternal grandparents, Fannie Bailey and the late Rev. Joseph G. Bailey; his stepsister, Amy and stepbrother, Michael. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his dear friends, Tim, Seth, Jarrod and Dave.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. A Celebration of Life will follow from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department 550 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Education Fund for Quinn Fitzgerald c/o Citizens Bank, 265 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Jacob Hans Bailey.
