COLONIE- Jacob G. Krug, 89, of Colonie, died Wednesday March 9, 2005 at St. Peters Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in West Albany and was the son of the late Jacob and Leona Morgan Krug.
Jacob was a WWII Army veteran having served in the European Theatre. He worked for many years as a New York State Fish & Game Inspector. He was a longtime parishoner and usher at St. Pius X Church. He was a member of the NYS Conservation Officers, Shaker Rd Fire Dept. and a former member of the Watervliet Fish and Game Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Miller Krug. He is survived by his brother James E. Krug Sr . Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:15 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Pius X Church, at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Church Building Fund, 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211.
