OSTERHOUT, JACOB A.

Jacob Andrew Osterhout, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at his home.

Jake was born on April 6, 1979 as the first child of Gary Osterhout and the late Leanne (Drozdowski) Osterhout. He grew up in Malta, NY and attended school at Shenendehowa, graduating in 1997.

Jake had a charm about him that drew people to him. He had a love of cooking, was a talented gardener, devoted to his pets, and found great fulfilment in spending time with his family, especially his sons.

In addition to his father, Jake is survived by his sons, Kramer and Khale; his grandmother, Eleanor Osterhout; his sister, Kate Hoefer (Eric); his brother, James Osterhout (Erin); his niece, Mikaela; his nephews, Everett and Bradley, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jake was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Above all, Jake loved his sons.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa Church, 250 Maxwell Rd, Latham, NY 12110 on Monday, August 16 at 1:30 p.m.
