Jacob Tyler Slaton

Cobleskill- Jacob Tyler Slaton, 30, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Born in Fairfax, VA he was the son of Joann (Ripper) and Harold Edward Slaton. Jacob is survived by his partner of 5 years, Clint Suits.

Jacob was a 2010 graduate of Mountain View High School in Stafford, Virginia. He had a true passion for chorus. He was part of the men's and mixed chorus, madrigals and jazz choir. As a high school freshman, Jacob was selected to participate in the Candlelight Processional at the Walt Disney World Epcot Theme Park. This is when his true love for Disney began.

In April of 2019 Jacob moved to Cobleskill, New York to unite with his soul-mate and life partner Clint Suits. Jacob lived his life to the fullest with Clint from going to Walt Disney World at the drop of a hat, spending time in the casinos, and enjoying numerous trips traveling the US. Jacob also made sure to make time for family as well.

Surviving are his life partner/soulmate, Clint Suits, loving parents Joann & Harold Slaton, brothers Edward and Cody, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.

Jacob was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Pua Ripper and Harold Clifton Slaton.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the love, support, and prayers during this time.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A sharing of memories will begin at 7pm at the funeral home. Services and Burial will be held on Thursday June 1, 2023 and Friday June 2, 2023 in Fredericksburg, VA.
