Jacqueline Goebel

BALLSTON SPA – Jacqueline Lennon Goebel, 49, of Ballston Spa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Sharon, CT and was a 1980 graduate of Guilderland High School. Jackie worked as a researcher in the science field before staying home to raise her cherished sons. She then earned her Master's Degree at SUNY @ Albany and was a substitute teacher with the Ballston Spa School District. Jackie shared a wonderful sense of community with her dear friends and family. She was a volunteer for many organizations and basked in the joy of her many friends and neighbors. She was a thoughtful and unselfish woman that will be dearly missed.
Jackie is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Scott J. Goebel; her loving sons, Connor and Spencer and her devoted parents, Thomas and Dorothea Lennon. Jackie is the dear sister of Pamela (Jim) Karkenny and the aunt of Alexa and Ashley Karkenny. She is the daughter in law of George and Joan Goebel.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 1 to 3 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A service in celebration of Jackie's life will be offered at 3:00 on Saturday at the funeral home.
