Jacquelyn "Jackie" (Byrnes) Maier, 91 of Greenwich died October 1, 2023 in Albany, NY.

Jackie was born February 12, 1932 in Cambridge NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Cordner and Dorothy Cordner (Melendy).

Jackie lived in Greenwich for much of her life and worked in hotels in Saratoga. She was an avid animal lover and spent her spare time caring for animals, often adopting them and providing them with a loving home.

Jackie is survived by her daughter Tracey Byrnes (Curt) of Colonie, NY, 10 grandchildren, Nathan Byrnes (Karen) of Glens Falls, Tian Gatchell of Glens Falls, Ryan Williams (Lauren) of Eugene, OR, Edward Byrnes Jr. (Courtney) of Glens Falls, Brittany Bacon (Len) of Glens Falls, Kati Byrnes of Schenectady, NY, Casey Byrnes of Queensbury, NY, Tyler Byrnes (Kristin) of Corinth, NY, Justin Byrnes (Morgan) and John Byrnes IV of Greenwich. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her late husband John Byrnes Jr. and 6 of her children, John Byrnes III, Christine Williams, Dan Byrnes, Michael Byrnes, Dorothy Gatchell and Edward Byrnes.

A celebration of life will be held October 15, 2023 at 2pm at the VFW in Greenwich, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jacquelyn's memory to SPCA of Upstate New York, 588 Queensbury Ave., Queensbury, New York 12804.
