ALBANY_Jacquelyn Mariah Porreca, 32, of Albany, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2015 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 5, 1983 to Gerald Porreca and Elizabeth (Drabick) Zuckoff
Jacquelyn graduated from WAJ High School Class of 2002 in Windham, NY. After completing high school, she relocated to the Albany area in 2002. Jacquelyn owned Jackson's Barber Shop in Colonie. Most recently she was working as a Master Barber at Recycled Salon in Colonie.
Jacquelyn was a fun, loving, outgoing person. She loved music, interior decorating and spending time outdoors. Jacquelyn had a heart of gold. She was passionate in whatever she did, most recently she had expressed a strong desire to start doing charity work involving children.
Jacquelyn is survived by her loving parents, Gerald J. Porreca and Elizabeth Zuckoff, her fiancé, Mickey Myers, her brothers, Michael Porreca, Russell Porreca, Giovani Falciano, sisters, Janeah and her husband Scott Rosecrans, Lucia Falciano, her nephews, Connor and Gavin Rosecrans and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
There will be no calling hours or funeral. A private memorial service to celebrate Jacquelyn's life will be held at a time to be announced in the future.
