COLONIE - Jacquelyn A. (Dierberger) Roberts, 88, of Sand Creek Road, Colonie, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. Loving daughter of the late Francis Howard and Emma Dierberger.
Among the people precious to Jackie, her beloved husband the late Milton A. Roberts. Jackie and Milt loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. They were always the life of the party and the last ones to leave. They made lifelong friends when they traveled and shared tremendous kindness and generosity.
Jackie was well known for her culinary skills. Her catering business "Jackies Jems" was a hit at parties all over the area. She loved to cook for people. Whether a birthday or anniversary or just someone dropping by, Jackie always had hors D'oeuvres at the ready.
Born March 13, 1934 in Brooklyn New York, Graduated Columbia High School 1952. She retired from the Town of Colonie Library in the late 90's. She was a proud member of West Albany Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary
Jackie is survived by children Tora-Lynn Lyons (Paul) of East Greenbush, George H. Johnson (Catherine) of Fort Worth Texas, Andrew Roberts (Penny) of Wilton and Darlene DeGonza (Richard) of Rotterdam.
Jackie was so proud of and loved her 6 grandchildren fiercely; Nicholas R. Russo (Samantha) of Carthage TN, Bobby Gutierrez (Gabe) of Sacramento CA, Dylan P. Johnson of Seattle WA, Michael A. Roberts (Jessie) of Apopka FL, Aaron R. Roberts (Nessie) of Saratoga Springs, Danielle E Roberts of Philadelphia, PA. She also had many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is the loving sister to Joyce A. Russell of Colonie and the late Howard P. Dierberger. Also remembered, the father of her children the late George L. Johnson, (former husband) and dear devoted cousins, Maureen and Spencer O'Brien of Nassau, NY.
Friends and relatives may call at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205 on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
