Jah-Quan was born in Albany, New York on January 2, 1988, to Jo Alice Jones and Frank P. Owens. He gained his wings on June 4, 2022. As a young man he attended school in Albany City School District. In his latest years he made a living working as a laborer. Jah-Quan was always very family oriented being the oldest of a large family where all of his siblings looked up to him. He also enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, boxing all while spending time with his friends. Out of all things, Quan loved being a father the most! His kids meant the world to him. Quan was affectionately known as Seven to many of us. He was always smiling and telling corny jokes. His personality was unmatched, and he will be forever remembered.
Jah-Quan is survived by his Wife Angela Davis-Owens, Mother Jo-Alice Jones (Tracy Strachan), Father Frank P. Owens (Stephanie Owens). He is predeceased by his maternal-grandfather, the late James Arthur Jones, Sr. and paternal-grandfather, the late Frank James Owens. Surviving grandparents Virginia Jones and Hattie Carter-Gilmore, five uncles, Curtis Williams, James Arthur Jones, Jr., Forone Wiggins, Fernando Wiggins and One Aunt Gwendolyn Parsons. Twelve siblings, El-ger Strachan, Latif, Kadeem, Shaquille and Jah-Leel Owens, Ty-Shaun Thornton, Jah-Lyiah, Shy-Asia, Nakira, Jah-Asia, Nazh and Nya Owens.
Jah-Quan left behind fourteen loving children to keep his legacy alive, Zyier, Jah-Quavieon, Jahz'Meir, Esavion, Sha-Quanna, Anavia, Znavia, Mi'-amor, Our-Quan, Jaela, and Jah-Quan Owens, Jr., Jeremiah Ross, and twins Jaelyn & Jayden Weeks.
Quan was loved by many he had two very close friends who were like brothers Josh and Paco, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
