ALBANY – Jake Burden, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany. He was born on March 2, 1921 in Colquitt, GA and was the son of the late Gary and Alberta (Cross) Burden.
Jake is survived by his loving children, Jake Burden Jr., Alberta Burden, Larry Burden (Elaine), Luther Burden (Cynthia), and Curtis Burden (Rebecca); 25 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Zion Baptist, 86 Schuyler Street, Albany. A calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. will precede the service. Interment Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eddy Daybreak Adult Day Services, 421 W. Columbia, Cohoes, NY 12047.
