James A. Forte

ALBANY- James A. Forte, of Albany, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away suddenly on Friday,his 64th birthday at St. Peters Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Louis Forte Sr. and Marie Raulf Forte.
Jim served in the US Army from 1963-66 and later served in the Army Reserves. He was a carpenter at St. Peter's Hospital for thirty eight years, retiring in 2006. Jim was a computer enthusiast and enjoyed golfing, boating and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Jim is the beloved husband of Linda Casullo Forte. He is the devoted father of Andrea (Don) Harrington and Michele Forte. He is the cherished grandfather of Ty, Alaina, Brianna and Noah. Jim is the brother of Edward (Marge) Forte, Louis (Carol e) Forte, Thomas (Elaine) Forte, Kenneth Forte and the late Richard Forte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of James A. Forte.
