James A. Hodson

COLONIE - James A. Hodson, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital.

James was born on April 24, 1944 in Albany and was the son of the late Thomas Hodson and Mary (Devlin) Broderick. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Hodson and Thomas Broderick. He was a bookbinder for Fort Orange Press in Albany before retiring in 2006 after 38 years of service. He married Ann M. Pitcherello on September 24, 1967.

James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Ann M. (Pitcherello) Hodson; his loving children, James A. (Amy) Hodson Jr., John J. Hodson, Jill A. Volks, and Joseph V. (Jessica) Hodson; his cherished grandchildren, Quinn, Brady, Avery, Gianna, and Jameson; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in memory of James A. Hodson.
