James A. Reynolds

James A. Reynolds, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the St. Peters Hospice Inn.

James was the son of the late Charles Reynolds and Carrie Reynolds.

James was the devoted husband of over 57 years, to Marlene (LaRose) Reynolds.

He proudly served with the United States Navy.

He worked for the Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home for 32 years, starting as the comptroller and ending his career as the CEO.

James was an avid NY Yankee Fan, enjoyed watching the NY Giants, and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He was inducted into the Bishop Maginn Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his 4 daughters; Suzie (Robert) Luongo, Joanne (Darrin) Kirchhof, Valerie (Donald) Wisniewski and Cindy (James) Maner. He is the brother of; Eleanor Conery and Charles (Lois) Reynolds. He is the proud grandfather of; Jimmy, Megan, Tony, Erica, Ryan, Kelsey, Hailey and Livvy; and great grandfather of Ariez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, then to St. Clare's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the Mass in Memory Gardens, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice Foundation 310 S. Manning Boulevard Albany, NY 12208 in James' memory.
