James A. Stewart

COLONIE – James A. Stewart, 54, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday October 18, 2012 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Albany and was a 1976 graduate of CBA. Jim attended Norwich University and Hudson Valley Community College. He had worked for Matthew Bender Corporation and for the past sixteen years was Supervisor of Continuing Legal Education at the New York State Bar Association. Jim loved his family and friends dearly. He was a music enthusiast and enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Donna M. Stewart. He is the devoted father of James J. Stewart and the cherished son of James C. and Marianne Stewart. Jim is the brother of Marybeth (Jeff) Kennedy, Paula (Paul) Fox and Ellen (Scott) Becker. He is the son in law of Mary Lou Catalano and the late Dominic Catalano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his cherished Labrador's, Molly and Maggie.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
