TROY – James B. Wells, 82, of Troy passed away Wednesday April 17, 2103 at his residence. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Lester and Mary Wells.
Jim served in the US Army from 1948 through 1952. He was baker at Freihofer Bakery in Albany for 43 years, retiring several years ago. Jim was a member of Troy Elks Lodge 141 and Watervliet VFW Post 729.
He was predeceased in 2003 by his wife Shirley A. Wells and in 2010 by his son Michael Wells. Jim is the father of Laura (Donald) Brundage, Linda Wells and Paul (Elissa) Wells. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Tuesday at 12 noon at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Avenue-Suite 1802, New York, NY 10001 in memory of James B. Wells.
