James Brown

James “Jimmy” F. Brown, 62, of Albany, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, August 10, 2024 at St. Peters Hospital. 

 Born September 11,1961, in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Antoinette (Cooper) Brown.

 Jimmy attended Albany High School and spent the majority of his career working for the City of Albany, Department of Parks and Recreation. He loved old Western movies, football, Nascar racing, the Rolling Stones and all kinds of desserts! Jimmy never missed calling his family on the holidays to let them know what channel the Charlie Brown special was airing on. All who knew Jimmy will remember his kindness, sense of humor, and quick wit. 

 He is survived by his siblings Sheryl Cunningham, William Brown, Patrick (Lisa) Brown, Daniel (Antoinette) Brown and Doreen (Eric) Williams, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom loved Jim deeply. 

 Friends and family are invited Friday, August 16th from 11am-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
