Westerlo- James "Jimmy" J. Cotazino, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday April 21, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany on July 4, 1944 and is the son of the late Bartolo and Josephine (Lostritto) Cotazino.
James was a 1961 graduate of Cardinal Mc CLuskey High School. He proudly served on the Albany Police Dept. for more than 34 years before retiring in 2006. James spent most of his years with the police department working in Division 2. He was also a former member of the Blue Angels Motorcycle Club. James' hobbies included; horses, karaoke, playing musical instruments, and telling jokes. His family will always remember him for being the life of the party and always making people laugh.
James was predeceased by his sister Mary (Joe) Tortello; and his brothers, Tony (Peggy) Cotazino and Joe Cotazino.
James is survived by his sister Grace (Arthur) Gifford, his sister-in-law Margaret Cotazino, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services for James will be Monday April 28th at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday April 27th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
