James J. "Jim" Cummings, Jr., son of late Grace and James Cummings, passed away Friday June 16, 2023.
Born on June 2, 1951 in Boston, MA, he was the beloved husband of Diane for 22 years.
Jim worked for over 20 years for NY State in the OCFS office as a counselor. He was a die-heart Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching baseball with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his brothers Peter (Kit) and Michael Cummings; his sisters Diane, Susan and Elizabeth. Brother-in-law of Suzanne and Barry Rosebeck, Gerald and Christine Arnold, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was Uncle to 18 nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his fur-baby Xena.
He was predeceased by his in-laws Frank and Mona Arnold, and brother-in-law to Frank Arnold, Jr.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205.
