Guilderland - James C. Currier, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing and Rehabilitation in Albany, NY with his loving son and daughter by his side.
Jim was born in Albany by the late James and Bianca Currier until he moved to Guilderland and remained until his passing.
Jim graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School where he was inducted into their sports hall of fame. He was a graduate of Albany's Business College where he obtained his Associates Degree. Jim was an avid sports fan especially Syracuse Orange. Jim enjoyed cooking, horse racing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is also predeceased by his brother John (Catherine Reamer) Currier.
He is survived by his three children Debra Bush, Lynn (Tony) Sgambellone, James (Autumn) Currier; four grandchildren York and Jack Bush; Olivia and Anthony Sgambellone; his last living brother Dr. Joseph (Carolyn) Currier and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family of James C. Currier would like to thank the staff of St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY and the Daughters of Sarah, Albany, NY for their kindness and loving care.
A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27th, 12 - 1: 30 pm with service immediately following 1:30 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY
