LATHAM – James E. Ross, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on April 11, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late James and Adelaide (Hinck) Ross. He served in the US Army in Korea. He was a Civil War buff and water color artist. He enjoyed gardening, sailing, friends and was an avid wine connoisseur. His wife and grandchildren were the light of his life.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. (Antoniak) Ross; his sons, Jimmy and Chris Ross of Long Island and Jason Antoniak; his cherished grandchildren, Katrina and Amanda Antoniak and Jack Ross; his sister, Jean (Edgar) Heisler and nieces, Janice (Rob) McClean and Nancy (Gary) Mergle all of long Island; brother-in-law of Robert, Karen, Jim, John, Dave, Tammy and Timmy Antoniak.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be held at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Jim may send donations to a charity of one's choice.
