James C. Emmi, 75, passed away on April 15, 2024 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland.
Born on April 28, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the only son of the late Salvatore and Lillie Emmi.
A graduate of Russell Sage College, James spent over forty years as an accomplished hair stylist who turned his talents into opening and running his own business, the Stacy James Salon in Albany, successfully running his business for several years he decided it was time to retire and spend more time with family and friends enjoying a few of the activities that filled his life.
Jimmy rode his Harley Davidson cross country many times to attend numerous motorcycle rallies throughout the United States. He loved to take day trips to go skiing and spend time hunting & fishing. James loved all sorts of outdoor activities and spending that time with a number of his close friends.
James was also an animal lover, owning several dogs over the year. Sammy, Buddy, Mya and JoJo were all well cared for and loved. There was never a time where he was not worried about the well-being of his four-legged companions.
He is survived by his son, Troy and his wife, Sandra of Sandy Hook, CT; two granddaughters, Kayla and Skylar.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 12PM to 2PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, with a service to immediately follow at 2PM.
