COLONIE- James F. Myers Jr., 82 entered into eternal life Saturday April 11, 2015 at Ellis Hospital.
James was born on June 15, 1932, son of the late James, Sr. and Helen (Kaczmarkiewicz) Myers in Schenectady. James graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1952, and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. James was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. James retired from Distribution Unlimited in 1997.
James was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Rowny) Myers of Schenectady, his daughters, Kathleen Myers of Rotterdam, Cynthia (James) White of Knox and Christine Mitchell of Schenectady, his beloved grandson, Joseph Mitchell who is currently serving in the U.S. Navy, several cousins, and a host of family and friends.
James was predeceased by several of his cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial in celebration of James will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 9 am at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave, Colonie. A graveside service will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
Memorial Contributions may be made in James' memory to The Salvation Army, Schenectady City Mission, and St. Clare's Church.
