Loudonville- James F. Reis, 90, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 24, 2016. James was the son of the late Lawrence Reis and Anna Dermody. James is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Diane E. Reis.
After graduating from C.B.A High School, James served in the Army during WWII in both France and Germany where he was awarded a bronze star for bravery. After returning from the military James worked for 38 years for Red Star Express as a mechanic. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the Adirondacks. He passed that appreciation onto his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife James is survived by his two sons, Matthew (Janice) and James (Heidi) Reis. James is also survived by his six grandchildren, Rebecca (Wayne) Carmack, Sarah (Nathaniel) Covert, Matthew (Caroline) Reis, Samuel Reis, Katie (Drew) Colberg and Andrew (Jessica) Reis, 9 great grandchildren, Christopher Carmack, Aidan, Gideon, Isla Covert, Matthew Reis, Natalie, Tyler , Sydney Colberg and Jacob Reis. He is also survived by his sister Ann Reis.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
