COLONIE--- James G. Farrington, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021 at the Teresian House.
He was the son of the late Dorothy and Albert Farrington. He was predeceased by his sister Susie, brother Guy and daughter Kelly.
Jimmy was the devoted husband of Debbie, the light of his life, with whom he celebrated 48 beautiful years of marriage the day before he grew his wings.
He was the beloved father of Julie (Eric) Gansle and Kristy (Dave) Mantei; loving Poppy of Dylan, Logan, Ava, Jayden, Rocco, Christian and Luca; brothers: Danny (Ro), Al and Mark (Val); sister Lynn (Frank) DeLorenzo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as friends, and colleagues from over a generation of running the Northway Inn and a decade of working at the Teresian House. The family would like to especially thank the staff, caretakers and "family" of the Teresian House for the love, support and care given to Jim throughout his time there, especially the past 11 months separated from family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to Teresian House- Carmel Gardens Memory Care Unit; 200 Washington Ave Ext., Albany, NY 12203.
