James Earl Goldston, Sr.

ALBANY- James Earl Goldston Sr., age 74, Born on January 26, 1946 entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2020 at the Grand at Barnwell to the late Ross Goldston and the late Katherine Dunlap-Marshall.

James was educated in Durham, NC. Later he moved to Albany, NY, where he worked in various careers as a security guard, a food processer and a truck driver at Schaap Moving, Colonie, NY.

He enjoyed music, (especially James Brown and Shirley Caesar), dancing, traveling.

James is survived by his children: Christina Nicholson (Goldston), James Goldston, Jr., Michelle Bibbs (Goldston), Sabrina Knox (Goldston), Julia Goldston, Zala (Smokey) Goldston, Mary Washington (Goldston) and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Benjamin Goldston, James Jimmy Jackson, Robert (Bobby) Goldston, Margaret Callins (Goldston).

He is also pre-deceased by: Margaret Cox (Sister), Willie Gray Cox (Brother-In-Law), Robert Lee Goldston (Brother), Ruby Goldston (Step-Sister), Lem Goldston (Uncle), Mary Goldston (Aunt), Josephine Goldston-Jackson (Niece).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hour on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11 to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205. A service will follow from 12 to 1 p.m.

Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
