James Harold Warren, 67, of Colonie passed away Thursday January 15, 2009 after a brief illness with lung cancer at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
He was born in Troy July 28, 1941 and was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred Warren. He was a graduate of Averill Park High School and served in the US Army. He worked for Norton Company for over 35 years, enjoyed golfing, caring for his flowers and he loved giving to others.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 42 years Jane (Appio), siblings; Joseph F. (Carol), Timothy (Linda), in-laws; Patricia McBride (Lawrence), Theresa Watrous, Debbie (Mark) Blaaboer and Diana (James) Trombley. Jim is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his princess Ashley Rose Gaglioti. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Cathy Appio.
His family would like to extend their thanks to the NYOH especially Dr. Wu and her staff of nurses in and out of the treatment room and the nursing staff at Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass for Jim which will be celebrated 10:30AM Monday at Christ The King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland, NY 12203.
