James Bartley Hanley

NISKAYUNA- James Bartley Hanley passed away suddenly on August 23, 2017. He was 32 years old.
James was a graduate of Niskayuna High School who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. His sense of humor, his kindness, his love of family and his compassion for animals were what made James such a joy to be around every day. He had an infectious personality, to say the least. After a career in the food industry, James was looking forward to attending the ECM program at HVCC this fall.
James is preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Joseph Hayes and Jack Hanley; his uncle, Thomas Hanley; his cousin Jeremy Hayes.
He is survived by his parents, Teresa (Hayes) and Jim Hanley of Niskayuna, his sisters, Devon Hanley and Kate Hanley; his grandmothers, Alice (Bartley) Hayes and Patricia Hanley, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and his fairy Godmother, Stacy DeLuke, all of whom loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 5-8pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A Blessing will be followed by a time to share remembrances 7pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Protection Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia NY 12302.
