James "Jamie"Dayton Fish

JAMES DAYTON FISH
James (Jamie) Fish passed suddenly into the arms of God on September 9, 2015 at his home in Hoboken, New Jersey. He is survived by his loving parents, Catherine (Haines) Fish and Deane Fish of Altamont as well as his beloved sister Alexandra Fish of West Hollywood, California. Jamie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jamie was predeceased by his grandparents- Agnes and Dayton B. Haines and Ruth E. and Peter Fish, Jr.
Jamie was a graduate of Voorheesville High School and was awarded a Baccalaureate degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta where he majored in Business Economics. He was employed as a Spine Associate with NuVasive spinal surgery equipment headquartered in San Diego, California and covered the Northern New Jersey territory. His work took him into hospital operating rooms where he assisted in improving lives for many people.
Jamie was a tireless, outgoing and passionate person who loved his friends and his family. His kind heart and mischievous spirit acquired new friends throughout his life. Jamie saved a special loyalty and love for his first and best friends from Voorheesville and kept regular contact with them.
He was particularly proud of his high school football career and was an accomplished golfer and snowboarder. He also loved fishing and the outdoors. Jamie followed the New York Giants and the New York Mets and attended games whenever possible.
Jamie loved animals, in particular his family's pets. The was a special place in his heart for his own rescued kittens, Aspen and Mary who are being kindly cared for by his roommate Jason Dow. Aspen and Mary will soon become part of the Becky and Dan Voorhies family in Clifton Park.
Jamie was known as a gourmet cook and adept in any kitchen where he would create innovative meals that were enjoyed by everyone. He was proud of this ability and would treat his friends and family to one of his meals whenever requested.
Jamie's friends and family will gather for calling hours to celebrate his life on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Orchard Creek Golf Club, 6700 Dunnsville Rd, Altamont, NY 12009 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 PM.
A memorial service will also be held at 10 AM at Saint Matthew's Church, 25 Mountainview Street, Voorheesville, NY 12186 on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
