COHOES – James B. Kelly, 91, passed away on December 25, 2020 after a period of declining health.
He was born in Cohoes where he lived most of his life to the late Edward and Helen (England) Kelly.
Jim was a construction worker for many years until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the Mets and the Giants.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine after 30 years of marriage in 2014 and his 12 brothers and sisters.
Jim is survived by his son, David (Tina) Douglas; 2 sisters, Eileen LaBarge and Theresa (Larry) Erno and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Jim's niece, Linda Mitale Malo for her care and support. Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
