James L. Sumpter

ALBANY – James L. Sumpter, 64, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital. He is survived by one daughter, Latonya Sumpter; three sisters, Betty (Charles) Petty and Patricia Beatty both of Albany and Helen Lee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a host of other relatives and friends. Dear friend of Charles and James Traynham and Chuckie Blanchard. He was predeceased by his mother, Mrs. Liza Lee; his brother, Walter L. Sumpter and his sister, Eva M. Westmoreland.
Homegoing service will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Home of the Saved Church, 160 Sheridan Ave., Albany with Pastor Timothy L. Harper officiating. Calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
