Albany- James A. LaChance, 67, passed away on January 20, 2021 at home.
He was born on June 28, 1953 son of the late Edward and Anna LaChance.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War. Jim retired from the Albany Academy after 25 years of service. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a fan of the New York Yankees, he enjoyed bowling and, most importantly spending time with his family. Jim cherished his role as a grandfather. He was also very close to his niece Linda Dominy who he grew up with. He will be dearly missed.
Jim was predeceased by his brothers, John, Ronald, Rudolph, Robert, John, Raymond, Edward and sister Margaret LaChance.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly LaChance; children, Anthony LaChance (Sara), Carrie LaChance; his stepchildren, Melissa Bessman, Kevin Bessman; grandchildren, Joshua and Angel Benoit, Layla and Lucas LaChance, Kenneth LaChance, Jada LaChance; siblings, Sharon DelGiacco, Richard LaChance and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be private.
