COLONIE – James "Jimmy" Edwin Little, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born on January 7, 1927 in Albany and was the son of the late Edwin James and Ethel (Moston) Little. He was a graduate of Philip Livingston High School and served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He married Theresa Richard on August 22, 1948 in Albany; she passed away on December 12, 2004.
Jimmy retired from Friendly Home Parties in Guilderland and was owner and operator of Capital Dictating Equipment in Colonie. He loved staying active, carpentry, puzzles, being with his family and most of all the many trips he took with his beloved wife, Theresa. He was a member of St. Clare's Church and the Robert L. Weininger Memorial Post #8692 VFW.
Jimmy is survived by his loving children, Christine (Joseph) Daddario, Richard (Linda) Little, Timothy (Paula) Little and Mark (Susan) Little; his cherished grandchildren, Katie (Michael) DiCaprio, Matthew Daddario, Kevin Little, Stephen (Sarah) Little, Christopher (Jessica) Little, David Little, Jeffrey Little, Michael Little, Elizabeth Little, Rachel Little and Thomas Little; his cherished great-grandchildren, Joanna "Joey" Little, Payton Little and Luke Little and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Louie and his sisters, Shirley and Marion.
A special thank you to Community Hospice of Albany, especially to Alice, Sally, Joel and Shanna for the care and comfort given to Jimmy.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie then to St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
