James J. Lowery, 77, of Albany, passed away on January 16, 2024 at Van Rensselaer Manor.
He was born in Buffalo on November 20, 1946 to the late James and Marjorie Lowery.
A retired Army Veteran, James worked at Price Chopper in Westgate Plaza for 15 years. He was family oriented and loved to spend time with them. He and Cathy met and fell in love in December 1995. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and Giants. James and Cathy worked together running their business Taxcat.
James is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Cathy, son Bill (Cheryl) Lowery, daughter Lisa Lowery, stepson Patrick Adams, stepmother Elinor Lowery, grandchildren Craig, Kara and Zenovia, great grandchildren Camora and Kailani, siblings Mary Alfreds, and brother Tom Lowery, step sister Debbie Amann as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Pine Grove United Methodist Church located at 1580 Central Avenue, Albany, NY,12205.
