ALBANY, NY_ James Marcus Brown, III. (Michelob) was called home on Nov. 26th, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at Albany Medical Center.
Marcus was born on May 11th, 1958 in Albany, NY survived by his parents Minnie (Harris) Brown and James Marcus Brown, Jr. He graduated Albany High School, 1976 and attended Norfolk State University. Marcus worked for the NYS Education Department at the State Archives for the past 36 yrs as a Historic Conservationist, his thirst for knowledge fueled his career and led him to form many loving and caring relationships. He was an avid sports fan and athlete; excelled at all he did and was a true sportsman.
Above all, Marcus was a family man. He is survived by his lifelong love and Wife, Odessa (Dee Dee Lewis) Brown, and to that union his three most prized possessions were born; James Marcus IV, Briana and Deonna Brown; grandsons, James Marcus V, Amir Brown, and Brieon Austin. He is also survived by his siblings Marcia Ruth, Jason Mitchell (Springfield, MA) and Marlena Jane Brown. His nephews, Lawan Cancer, Jr. and Nasir Chestnut. He is also survived by his Mother-in-Law Pauline Lewis, four sister-in-laws, two Brother-in-laws, God-Daughter Neriah Walley, and a host of family and friends.
He is predeceased by Grandparents Florence M. Epps, James Marcus Brown Sr., Emma Jane Benson, Willie Key Harris, Sr., four Brother-in-Laws, and his father-in-law Archibald Henry Lewis.
