LOUDONVILLE - James M. DiNapoli, 68, of Loudonville, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late James and Anne (Macri) DiNapoli. Jim was a graduate of CBA and Niagara University.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Christine Wagner DiNapoli and is the devoted father of Lisanne (Robert V.) Miller of Cape Cod, MA., Michael J. (Tara) DiNapoli of Warwick, NY., Gregory E. (Stephanie) DiNapoli of Alexandria, VA and Jeffrey T. (Joy) DiNapoli of New York, NY. He is the brother of Veronica D. (David) McGuire of Albany. He is the proud grandfather of Brady Wagner Miller, Molly, Jack, Francesca, Alexandra, Nathan, and Nicholas DiNapoli. He is also survived by a niece, 3 nephews and many dear friends.
Jim was the President and CEO of DiNapoli Equity Advisors, a Commercial and Industrial Investment Advisory and Representative firm. He was an esteemed member of the Albany business community for over thirty-five years. Jim served on countless boards and was honored with numerous appointments in the New York State real estate community. He was the former President of the McClosky Community Development Corporation and was the founding chairman of the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District serving on the Board for six years.
Jim was a member of the New York State Association of Realtors Commercial & Investment Division, Greater Capital Association of Realtors, Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, Albany Local Development Corporation Board Secretary, Society of Industrial & Office Realtors, Life Member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, a Trustee of the Fort Orange Club, and a Member of Wolferts Roost Country Club. His professional achievements were only exceeded by his love for his family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. Calling hours will be Friday at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
