COLONIE – James (Jimmy) M. Landers, 31, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Tuesday June 21, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Albany and is the beloved son of Joseph C. and Joanne Prinzo Landers of Colonie. Jimmy was a 1998 graduate of Colonie Central High School. He was a boxing enthusiast and had participated in the Golden Glove events. Jim was employed as a corrections officer with Albany County Sheriff's Department for the past ten years.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Joseph (Coleen) Landers, John (Linda) Landers and Jill (Jamie) Lieberman. He is the cherished uncle of Kelly, Christopher, Ryan, James, Matthew and special uncle to Leonni. Jim is the dear friend of Sara LaBate and her son Antonio. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville at 9:00 am where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
