James Monroe Marable Sr. departed life on March 28, 2023 surrounded by his family. James known as "Fuzzy" was born on August 22, 1944 in Halifax Virginia. He was the son of the late Phillip and Lola Marable. Husband of the late Amanda Marable and father to Charlene Marable Icangelo and James M. Marable Jr. of Albany New York.
Brother to Joanne (Branford) Edmonds of Halifax, Virginia; the late Rudolph (Louella) Marable Sr. and the late Wayne Marable.
James relocated to Albany, New York in 1965. Where he worked in many job fields until he retired in 2008. James
"Fuzzy loved his sports especially baseball and bowling.
He played for many local baseball teams including the well known "Jolly Inn" and the " Shining Star". James bowled in the Lilac Bowling Tournaments for many years with his brother and friends. His love for bowling continue in the later years at Action Lanes in Albany. He also enjoyed fishing and spent many hours on the fishing bank with wife Amanda. James had a great love for his family and friends and got his nickname of "FUZZY" due to his warm and caring nature. He was always willing to help and do whatever was needed for anyone.
He leaves to embrace his memory: A daughter, Charlene and a son James Jr.; eight grand children and three great-grandchildren. One sister Joanna; two brothers -in-law, Branford and William and one sister- in- law Mildred, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
