COLONIE- James D. Nelson, 89, passed away on May 5, 2020 surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on November 11, 1930 son of the late Francis and Helen Nelson.
Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He retired from Sterling Winthrop. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, the love of his life, Elizabeth Nelson (Nealon); children, Kimberly Herman (Steven), Lori DeSorbo (Louis); grandchildren, Matthew Herman (Eva), Chelsea Herman-Hill (Cole), Alexandra DeSorbo Quinn (Thomas), Zachary DeSorbo, Samuel DeSorbo; great grandchildren, Thomas and Oliver Quinn.
Due to the current environment surrounding COVID-19 services will be private.
